The scene took place at the Florida State Fairgrounds in Tampa, Florida during the Gus Trent Rodeo at Teco Arena. The video showed the massive creature leap over the fencing and run past a man before climbing another fence separating the audience from the arena.

People began to panic and scramble away from the bull that was having trouble climbing the bleachers and decided to go back down to the ground. It ran around the outside of the arena until one brave cowboy came riding up on a horse and lassoed the out-of-control bull.

The crowd erupted in cheers for the cowboy, whose name has not been released, and with the help of men standing around the arena, they quickly opened a part of the fencing and led the bull to the middle of the arena again.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported and the show continued as normal.

Christopher Thornton, who recorded the video said, “This was my first time attending a rodeo and it won’t be my last. Hats off to that cowboy, his amazing horse, and his throw,” according to the Miami Herald

Commenters on social media had input about what they thought about the whole situation.

“That guy that lassoed the bull should never have to buy a drink in this town ever again. He probably saved a life or two with that perfect grab!” one commenter wrote on YouTube.

“See that’s what it means to cowboy up,” another posted on Facebook.
