Ray Stevens Is Recovering From Heart Surgery
Ray Stevens’ team took to social media on Tuesday (July 8) to announce that the legendary singer is recovering from a “minimally invasive heart surgery” on Monday (July 7).
The social media post revealed that Stevens “complained of chest pain and was admitted to a Nashville hospital. After a heart catheterization procedure, it was determined he’d suffered a mild heart attack.”
His upcoming shows at his Nashville venue CabaRay have been cancelled through the rest of the month as he recovers.

Ray’s Team Gives Health Update On July 9
On Wednesday, July 9th, Ray Stevens’ team took to social media to update his fans following the surgery.
The update read, “Ray is out of ICU and beginning to walk the halls as therapy with a nurse’s assistance as he is working towards recovering from this surgery. Ray is very grateful for all of the cards and get well messages.”
They ended the update by referencing his Grammy Award-winning song, “Everything is Still Beautiful!!!!”

Throughout this period, Stevens became a fixture on television, appearing on variety shows and eventually hosting his own programs, including The Ray Stevens Show.

He even created his own venue, CabaRay, where he often performs. He announced his retirement in 2024, but in April 2025, he revealed he wasn’t ready for retirement and would be performing every Saturday night.
