Reba Reveals The Special Tradition All The ‘Voice’ Coaches Do Before Filming — And It Was Snoop Dogg’s Idea

The Voice Coaches Are One Big Happy Family
If you’ve been tuning in to watch season 28 of The Voice, you’ve seen plenty of fun moments and hilarious banter from the show’s coaching panel.
Reba McEntire, Niall Horan, Snoop Dogg, and Michael Bublé have been battling it out all season long to find the next big star, and there’s been no shortage of competition between them, with saves, steals, and blocks flying around. Still, it’s all in good fun.
In fact, they aren’t just putting on a show for the cameras. The four coaches have actually built a genuine bond while working together.
So much so that they’ve started a tradition that they do together before every show.

Reba Shares The Tradition That Her & Fellow Voice Coaches Do Before Every Show
In an interview with PEOPLE, Reba shared that she and her fellow Voice coaches have a group tradition they do before every taping, and she said it was Snoop Dogg who came up with the idea.
“What I love about the three that I’m with, we say our prayer before we go [film],” she told the outlet. “Snoop instigated that.”
Overall, it’s such a positive environment to be part of, which is one of the reasons the “I’m a Survivor” singer chose to return as a coach this season.
“They find the best people,” she says. “I am blown away every season. Then, of course, the other coaches.”
She went on to describe Michael as “a good buddy,” and said that Niall was “a little brother” to her because “he’s funny, he’s witty.“

With everything happening in her career, along with the big milestone of getting engaged to her longtime partner, Rex Linn, Reba has found a lot of happiness lately.
She says that at 70 years old, she has never been happier.
“I think I’m happier now than I’ve ever been in my life,” she said. “It’s amazing. It’s wonderful being 70 and getting to do what I get to do at the level I want to do it.”
Once she was able to live more in the present and not worry about things that had happened yesterday or what the future held, she realized she could truly feel the joy in her life.
“The hardest lesson was to quit living for tomorrow and for yesterday,” the country superstar said.
She continued, “That’s really hard to do, but it’s so rewarding when it clicks. I used to think being content was a no-no, because if you’re content, you’re not going to strive to continue to do better. That’s not true because you always try to improve your health. As I tell artists on The Voice, and anybody that ever asks me for advice, I’ll say, ‘Enjoy every minute.’”
The Voice Schedule Change
A new schedule for the singing competition kicked off on Monday, October 20, and will continue for several weeks.
Instead of airing twice a week like fans are used to, the show will now have just one episode each week as it moves into the Knockout rounds.
