In the image, Riley and Lisa Marie are captured sharing a loving mother-daughter moment, showing the strong bond they had. Accompanying the photo was a simple caption— a solo red heart emoji.
The post marks one year since the tragic events that unfolded on January 12, 2022, when Lisa Marie Presley was rushed to the hospital after suffering cardiac arrest due to complications from bariatric surgery she underwent several years earlier. Despite efforts to revive her and restore a pulse, Lisa Marie passed away later that day at the age of 54.
Recently, it was announced that Lisa Marie’s memoir, a project she had worked on before her untimely death, is set to be published posthumously. Random House publication plans to release the untitled memoir on October 15, offering an intimate look into Lisa Marie’s life and relationships.
The memoir is said to primarily feature Lisa Marie’s own words, with Riley contributing to “fill in the blanks” from her own memories. Readers can anticipate an exploration of Lisa Marie’s personal life, including aspects of her complex marriages to actor Nicolas Cage and singer Micheal Jackson.
Another particularly personal topic addressed in the book is the heartbreaking loss of her son, Benjamin, who tragically took his own life in 2020. Through the collaborative efforts between Lisa Marie and Riley, the memoir aims to provide a candid and authentic portrayal of a life marked by fame, love, loss, and resilience.
