Rob Reiner & Wife Michele Found Dead In Their L.A. Home
“Princess Bride” director Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele, were found deceased inside of their Los Angeles home Sunday (December 14), TMZ reported. The outlet initially reported that the two suffered wounds consistent with a knife attack.
Los Angeles Fire Department personnel were dispatched to their residence in the 200 block of South Chadbourne Avenue around 3:38 p.m. following a call for medical assistance.
The New York Times reported that a massage therapist arrived at the home for an appointment, but no one answered the gate. The therapist then called the couple’s daughter, Romy, who came over and discovered her father’s body.
She learned her mother had also died from the paramedics. Several hours later, her brother Nick was arrested in connection with the murders.
Rob and Michele also shared a son, Jake, and Rob had an adopted daughter, Tracy Reiner.

Who Was Rob Reiner?
Reiner is an American actor, director, producer, and political activist who has been a major figure in Hollywood for decades.
He first became widely known as an actor in the 1970s for his role as Michael “Meathead” Stivic on the classic TV sitcom All in the Family. He later found greater success behind the camera, helming several iconic films, including “Princess Bride” and “When Harry Met Sally.”
Reiner has been married to Michele since 1989.

The Couple’s Cause Of Death Revealed
On Wednesday (December 17), just three days following their tragic murder, Rob and Michele’s cause of death was revealed.
According to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner, via TMZ, the couple died from “multiple sharp force injuries.” The manner of death for the couple was ruled as homicide.
The cause of death was disclosed just hours after Nick made his first court appearance since his parents’ deaths.
Outside Los Angeles Municipal Court on Wednesday, Nick’s attorney, Alan Jackson, told reporters that an arraignment has been scheduled for January 7, 2026.
