Robert Irwin Competes On “Dancing With The Stars” 34th Season

Robert Irwin, the 21-year-old son of the late ‘Crocodile Hunter’ Steve Irwin, is competing on Season 34 of ABC’s hit show, Dancing With the Stars.

Robert’s partner, Witney Carson, is a professional dancer and choreographer, and was the season 19 winner with her partner Alfonso Ribeiro.

The two wowed the audience week two when they performed the tango with “Move Your Feet.”

Irwin & Carson Surprise Audience With Shirtless Performance

Robert and Witney brought major energy to TikTok Night with a sizzling Salsa set to “Million Dollar Baby” by Tommy Richman.

Their performance earned them a 22 out of 30 from the judges, but it was the viral moment mid-routine that had everyone talking. Robert bared his abs and showed off his chiseled physique, sending the crowd into a frenzy.

After he ripped off his shirt during their Salsa on the show, Witney admitted she had “many moments of regret” about choreographing that shirtless moment.

She said she primarily worried about how female fans would respond, especially the flood of direct messages she began receiving. Witney jokingly urged fans in her messages to “take it down a little.”

“Did I make the right choice taking his shirt off?,” she later asked herself, implying that her “big-sister energy” felt conflicted about exposing him so dramatically on live TV.

Robert, for his part, said the idea was mutual and that he wanted to “show a different side” of himself.

Robert Thanks Fans In New Heartfelt Message

On Thursday (October 2), Robert thanked fans for “all of the love” they have shown him while performing on the show so far.

“Just a message of gratitude to you all! Thank you so much for your support, for voting, and for being on this journey with us. So much fun ahead!,” Robert gushed.

The duo seem to be having a blast together so far, taking fans along to see what their behind-the-scenes looks like.

Robert said that he first met Witney when he was a child, during the time his sister Bindi competed on DWTS.

“Well, I’ve known Witney for 10 years. Technically, I first met Witney only briefly, but when I was like a little tiny kid,” he told PEOPLE.
