Brooks & Dunn Confirm New Music Is Coming!
It’s hard to believe it’s been nearly 20 years since Brooks & Dunn have released new music.
The country duo just kicked off the 2026 leg of their “Neon Moon” tour, but there’s even more exciting news on the horizon. Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn are finally getting ready to bless fans with brand-new music.
Their last recorded album of original songs, Cowboy Town, was released on October 2, 2007. While the duo has remained active over the years with re-recordings and collaborations, they haven’t released a new album of original material since then.
While Brooks & Dunn may have gone nearly two decades without releasing a new album of original music, the country legends have certainly kept busy.
In recent years, the two have continued touring and performing their biggest hits for fans across the country. Brooks & Dunn headed out on the road for their Neon Moon Tour in 2025, which was extended into 2026.
They also introduced their classic songs to a new generation of country artists through their REBOOT projects.
The duo released REBOOT in 2019, featuring reimagined versions of their biggest hits with artists including Kacey Musgraves, Luke Combs and Thomas Rhett. Five years later, they followed up with REBOOT II, which featured collaborations with artists including Lainey Wilson and Morgan Wallen.
Now, Ronnie Dunn is confirming what all Brooks & Dunns fans have waited nearly two decades for – new music is officially coming!
Dunn responded to a comment on Country Chord’s Instagram Sunday (September 13), just hours after the duo performed at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena. As fans praised their show, Dunn not only confirmed that new music was on the way, but his response suggested fans may not have to wait much longer to hear it.
“new music is ready and ON THE WAY !,” Dunn responded when a fan said she would “love” some new music.
