Rory Feek and his 12-year-old daughter, Indy, came together for a sweet duet of the hymn “I Have Decided to Follow Jesus.”

Rory and Indy recently appeared in a video shared by Noah Peters, better known on social media as “The Singing Barber.” He’s popular online for singing country and gospel songs with his clients while also giving them haircuts.

“I Have Decided to Follow Jesus” is a famous hymn about staying strong in your Christian faith. The song is based on a powerful and true story from India in the 1800s.

In the video, Rory sits in the barber’s chair with an acoustic guitar, playing along as he sings the lyrics. Indy stands right beside him, singing every word with her dad.

Longtime Feek family fans filled the comments with love and praised Indy for how talented she is. Just a few of those kind messages include:

“BEST THING ON THE INTERNET TODAY!!! Followed the family many many years! She looks so much like her mama.”

“Oh Indy! You are such a blessing to so many!”

“Her mama is looking down from heaven and smiling!!! Thank you for posting this. It made my day! ❤️”

Singing together is nothing new for Rory and Indy. Indy has been singing since she was very young, following in her parents’ footsteps.

Rory first rose to fame as one half of the country duo Joey + Rory, which he formed with his late wife, Joey Feek. The pair finished third on CMT’s Can You Duet in 2008.

In 2016, Joey passed away from cervical cancer. Rory raised their daughter as a single father primarily on their farm in Columbia, Tennessee. In July 2024, he found love again and married Rebecca Carnell, Indy’s former teacher.

Rory Feek Gives A Life Update + Announces New Project

Rory shared a life update in a blog post published on October 1. He revealed that he had returned to his home in Tennessee after spending the last eight months in Waco, Texas, with Indy and Rebecca.

He also shared that he’s working on a new book, and for the first time, he’s writing fiction. Rory says he is about halfway done, but he didn’t say exactly when he plans to release it.

“This book and this story is unlike any other I’ve written,” Rory’s post read. “Actually, it’s not like any book I’ve ever even read. It’s not a children’s book, or a memoir. Not about my story or life, and yet, I can see myself in every paragraph and on every page.”

As for Indy, she seems to be recovering very well after undergoing heart surgery earlier this year.
