The holidays are all about being with family and friends and celebrating together. And what better way to celebrate than with a down-home, redneck parade?
Harris County, GA might not be at the top of your holiday travel list, but if you love the country lifestyle, it should be. Full of rolling pastures, hiking trails to explore, and secluded cabins on the lake – it is every country folk’s dream.
On top of all the wide-open space the county has, their community is something else. While most people are used to seeing big holiday events like New York City’s Macy’s Day Parade – the folks down in Harris County have their own special tradition: A Redneck Christmas Parade.
The Harris County Redneck Christmas Parade has been going on for three years now. After the success of the first one, the county knew it had to keep it going. The parade has everything a redneck wants.
The entire parade was filled with ATVs, motorcycles, lifted trucks, funny jokes, and pride in being exactly who you are.
The fun parade was put on to help raise money for Humane Society of Harris County, GA. The volunteers there sure know how to put on a good show!
Y’all can watch the full redneck tradition in the video below and be sure to let us know what your favorite “float” was in the comments!
