Koe Wetzel Was Supposed To Perform At Country Calling Fest In Maryland

Months ago, Country Calling Festival announced the star-studded lineup for their event in Ocean City, Maryland.

The three-day festival featured headlining performances from Carrie Underwood and Brooks & Dunn on Friday, October 3, Luke Bryan on Saturday, October 4, and Luke Combs on Sunday, October 4.

Other performers included Jon Pardi, Tyler Hubbard, Tucker Wetmore, Chase Rice, Leann Rimes, Zach Top, Jordan Davis, Treaty Oak Revival, Flatland Cavalry, Wynonna Judd, Koe Wetzel, Ryna Bingham, Gary Allan, Gavin Adcock.

The festival released the lineup schedule for each day on August 13th so fans could plan their time at the event. Country Calling had three different stages: Boot, Scoot, and Boogie.

Koe Wetzel was scheduled to perform on the Scoot Stage from 8pm to 9pm right before the headliner Luke Combs took the Boot Stage at 9pm until the festival ended at 10:30pm.

Even though the weekend was filled with incredible performances, one singer wasn’t able to make it.

Koe Wetzel Cancels His Country Calling Appearance Hours Before Show

On Sunday, October 5th, Wetzel was scheduled to perform at Country Calling at 8pm EST.

Around 4pm EST, Koe Wetzel shared an unfortunate update on Instagram.

“I hate to do this, but we won’t be able to make it to Maryland for our set tonight at Country Calling due to a safety issue with out aircraft,” he wrote. “We tried to find a way, and unfortunately we are out of options. We’re super bummed and hope we can make it up to y’all soon. Thanks for understanding…”

It’s safe to say that fans were devastated. See some of their reactions below.
