84-Year-Old Nancy Guthrie Remains Missing
Over three months have passed since Today show co-host Savannah Guthrie’s 84-year-old mother, Nancy Guthrie, was reported missing on February 1. To this day, the investigation into her disappearance remains active. Authorities believe she may have been abducted late at night from her home in Tucson, Arizona.
Despite extensive efforts, investigators have not identified any strong suspects or major leads. Family members, friends, and supporters continue raising awareness and sharing her story in the hope that new information will help bring her home safely.

Savannah Guthrie Returns To The TODAY Show
On April 6, Savannah returned to her role on the show. She first sat down with Hoda Kotb for her first interview since the investigation started. The conversation was split into three parts, with the first two airing on Thursday, March 26, and the final part airing Friday morning, March 27.
During the interview, Savannah shared details she hadn’t spoken about before, including the moment she learned her mother was missing.

The decision to return wasn’t easy, but Savannah knew it was what she needed to do. In the third and final part of her interview, she explained why she’s choosing to come back while still going through the heartbreaking situation and knowing her mother’s kidnapper is still out there.
“It’s hard to imagine doing it because it’s such a place of joy and lightness, and I can’t come back and try to be something that I’m not,” Savannah said. “But I can’t not come back, because it’s my family. I think it’s part of my purpose right now.”

Savannah Returns To Co-Host Following Abrupt Exit
On Thursday (May 7), Savannah returned to the show after unexpectedly leaving the broadcast the day before with no explanation. Her brief exit sparked concern among viewers, but she resumed her co-hosting duties the following morning alongside Willie Geist. She appeared to be in good spirits and continued the program as normal.
Savannah’s co-anchor Craig Melvin was out on the Today Show Plaza when he made the announcement that she would be leaving early for the day.
“Savannah had to leave a little early. She will be right back here tomorrow though,” Craig told viewers.
Our prayers continue with the Guthrie family during this unimaginable time.
