Zach Bryan Surprises Fans By Marrying Girlfriend Samantha Leonard In Spain
Wedding bells were ringing for Zach Bryan at the end of 2025, as he married his girlfriend, Samantha Leonard, in Spain. He kept the plans for their nuptials under wraps, so the news of his marriage came as a huge surprise to his fans.
A video surfaced on New Year’s Eve (December 31) that showed Zach carrying Samantha (who was wearing a white dress) to a convertible with a “Just Married” sign.
After that, Zach shared his first official wedding photo. The snapshot shows him holding Samantha in his arms while she looked at him and smiled.
“Tougher than the rest,” Zach wrote in the caption, referencing the Bruce Springsteen song with that name. The second slide in his post includes a video of Zach performing that song at his and Samantha’s wedding reception.
Zach Bryan Shares Emotional Reaction To Samantha Honoring His Late Mother On Their Wedding Day
Sadly, one special person in Zach’s life couldn’t be there on his wedding day. His mother, Annette, died in August 2016 when Zach was only 20 years old. She and Zach shared a close bond, and he’s called her his “best friend.”
Annette was never far from Zach and Samantha’s minds as they said “I do.” Samantha personally kept Annette close to her heart, as she honored her with her wedding dress.
Zach shared on his Instagram Story that Samantha had the lace from his mother’s wedding dress incorporated onto her own.
“Samantha went out of her way to put my mom’s wedding dress lace on her dress and I cried for a good bit,” Zach shared alongside an image of Samantha in her dress. “Meant so much sweetheart, thank you.”

On a second slide, Zach shared a photo of his mom in her wedding dress, and wrote:
“Wish you were here about now gorgeous.”
The dress Samantha wore for their ceremony was different than the one she wore in the “official” wedding photo Zach previously shared.
Samantha shared several new wedding photos on January 2. The pictures showcase the stunning lace gown she wore for their ceremony, which appeared to be held at the Basílica de Santa María del Coro in San Sebastián, Spain.
The church was decorated with elaborate floral arrangements, including one that formed a partial arch at the altar. The aisle was lined with glowing votive candles.
