A semi overturned around midnight last week and crashed into the side of a local Nebraska liquor store while carrying a full load of cattle.

In Neligh, Nebraska on Thursday, May 7th, 2020, a semi-truck carrying a trailer filled with cattle appeared to clip a curb as it was turning the corner on Highway 275 that runs through town. The speed limit for the highway is reduced to 30 MPH right before the corner.

As security footage from Lucky Joe’s Liquor store shows, the semi was turning the corner at a decent speed and appears to clip the curb – sending the trailer over onto its side and dragging the truck with it.

The vehicle slides across the intersection and an open area adjacent to the liquor store as it comes shooting towards the wall. The footage captures the moment the roof breaks open and cows start flying out the sideways trailer.

The owner of this small town liquor store, Joe Lichty, said that his building wasn’t damaged but the store’s ice machine was. The driver of the semi was not injured.

Unfortunately, he also says that some of the cows had to be euthanized due to injuries sustained in the accident.

Be advised, some viewers may find it disturbing.
