Jelly Roll Recently Shaved Off His Beard For The First Time In 20 Years
After returning home from his tour in Australia, Jelly Roll decided to shave off his beard. His decision shocked his family and wife, Bunnie Xo, who filmed in the lead-up to him shaving.
“You guys, I have been with my husband for going on 10 years now, [and] I have never seen this man without his facial hair. Not one freaking time,” Bunnie said.
After losing over 200 pounds, Jelly Roll wanted to shave his beard so he could see his new jawline. Bunnie was all for the idea, saying, “Look at that freaking jawline… we wanna see that jawline, right, ladies?“
Bunnie periodically checked in with her husband until finally, he was completely clean-shaven. She didn’t show the camera his new look, but she did share her reaction. “The total naked face, it’s not terrible…” she said as both she and Jelly laughed.

In the November 21 episode of her podcast, Bunnie shared that this is Jelly’s first time seeing himself without a beard. She said:
“The internet got it wrong. Like, all the news articles are like, ‘Oh, he hasn’t shaved his face in 10 years.’ No, no, no, no. He hasn’t shaved his face in 20 years.”
She added, “This is the first time he’s ever seen his face without hair.”
Jelly Roll waited a few days before posting the first video of himself sporting his clean-shaven look. In it, he reacted to his recent Grammy nominations and got emotional as he shared how much they mean to him.
He briefly addressed his beardless appearance, joking, “By now you have probably figured out that I look like a Ninja Turtle.”

Shaboozey Cracks Jokes About Jelly Roll’s Clean-Shaven Look
The fact that Jelly Roll had shaved his beard was big news in the country music community. He decided to do so just days before the CMA Awards, which he did not attend.
However, people were still talking about him at the event! His “Amen” duet partner, Shaboozey, reacted to his clean-shaven look when asked to share his thoughts on the matter.
“They told me about it,” Shaboozey told Entertainment Tonight, admitting that he hadn’t seen beardless Jelly Roll yet.
He said, “I can’t even imagine him with the shaved face. I’m like, ‘It’s giving Snapchat filter, man.'”
Shaboozey joked, “We miss the beard, man. Come back soon. Grow that out.‘”
