In less than two weeks, Shelby Blackstock has lost both of his grandmothers.

The 30-year-old son of country superstar Reba McEntire and Narvel Blackstock first mourned the passing of his maternal grandmother, Jacqueline McEntire, on March 14.

Jacqueline was 93 years old at the time of her death. Shelby paid tribute to her on social media, writing:

“Yesterday we lost one of the best. Grandma Jack was an amazing woman, wife, mother, and grandmother. You will be greatly missed, but you’re in a better place with grandpa. I love you very much!”

Then, just 11 days later on March 25, Shelby’s paternal grandmother (Narvel’s mother), also passed away.

Shelby honored his “Granny” with a touching post on social media, and likened her to Jacqueline.

My grandmother ‘Granny’ passed today. Like Grandma Jack, she was ready, and she finally gets to see my Papaw after all these years,” he wrote.

Shelby posted a couple of family photos with his grandma, with Narvel appearing in both of them. You can also see his half-brother, Brandon, in the second picture, who is married to Kelly Clarkson.

Closing out his message in remembrance of his Granny Blackstock, Shelby wrote:

You will be missed, I love you very much, and I hope you enjoy your next journey. .
