Southern Grandma Rejects Traffic Ticket & Drives Off…So The Officer Tased Her

A seemingly normal traffic stop with a 65-year-old Oklahoma grandma took a turn for the worst when her sassy Southern attitude commandeered the situation (and her pickup) after getting stopped by an officer.

First reported and aired on KOCO 5 ABC, a woman named Debra Hamil was pulled over by a Cashion, Oklahoma police officer after he noticed she had a broken tail light.

She told the officer that she’d had it for around six months…and that’s when he decided to issue her an $80 ticket for driving with a broken tail light.

“I don’t think I deserve to pay $80 for something that is fixable,” the defiant woman told the officer.

“Well, I’m not gonna give you a warning for something you’ve been driving [with] for six months.”

Hamil continued to refuse to sign the ticket until the officer told her to step out of the vehicle because she was under arrest.

“No I’m not!” she said very matter-of-factly.

“Step out of the vehicle, I’ve given you a lawful order to step out,” the officer repeated before she rolled up her window and locked the doors of her truck.

They go back and forth for another moment or two before she uses a few choice words and then takes off, pedal to the metal after he told her not to.

Now, she’s engaged in a police chase. The video ends and restarts with the officer approaching Hamil’s now-stopped truck in a parking lot. He draws his gun and sirens are blaring in the background.

She refuses to exit the vehicle, so the officer opens the door and drags her out, landing her squarely on the ground and orders her to put her hands behind her back.

“Leave me alone!” she screams at the officer.

He then whips out his stun gun and gives her a taste of electric shock as she lets out some incredible wails.

She continues to resist and even tried to kick him at one point before he was able to fully subdue her and place her in the rear of the patrol car.

Talking with her, he reminded her that she tried to kick him…but what was her reply?

“Because I’m a country girl.”
