Vice President JD Vance and Second Lady Usha Vance accompanied Erika Kirk on Air Force Two as she brought Charlie home to Arizona on September 11th. Meanwhile, a massive manhunt for the shooter was underway.

Authorities arrested the alleged shooter, 22-year-old Tyler Robinson, on September 12th. He was formally charged with seven counts on September 16th.

Additionally, during a press conference, Utah County Attorney Jeffrey S. Gray shared information about the text messages Tyler sent to his roommate, in which he allegedly confessed to killing Charlie. When the roommate asked Tyler, “Why?” he reportedly responded:

“I had enough of his hatred. Some hate can’t be negotiated out. If I am able to grab my rifle unseen, I will have left no evidence. Going to attempt to retrieve it again. Hopefully they have moved on. I haven’t seen anything about them finding it.”
