“Special Agent” DJ Daniel Is Planning New Ways To Help Children With Cancer

The 13-year-old honored by President Donald Trump as a “Special Agent” with the Secret Service is coming up with a plan to help other children battling cancer.

DJ Daniel was diagnosed with terminal cancer in 2018 and recognized by Trump earlier this year, and is now seeking out country artist Jason Aldean for his next venture.

DJ recently released a video on social media asking for help getting in touch with the singer to host a benefit concert in hopes of raising money for other children suffering.

Hey, does anybody know Jason Aldean? Because we’re trying to do a country show down here to raise money for kids with cancer,” Daniel said.

In a video posted to Instagram, Aldean responded to DJ, saying he wanted him to come out to a show so they could discuss the benefit concert in greater detail.

The video opened with country star Darius Rucker greeting the young boy, sharing that he knew Jason Aldean, who then appeared in the shot.

“Hey what’s up DJ, Jason Aldean here, got your message, and I wanna get you out to a show and lets talk more about doing a show or doing something to help the kids you’re talking about and we’ll be in touch, my man,” Aldean said.

Despite His Condition, DJ Continues To Dream Big

Although DJ has undergone 13 brain surgeries, nothing has seemed to stop his grit and determination to make his dreams become a reality.

DJ and his father have visited more than 900 law enforcement agencies, and nearly all of them have named the boy an honorary officer.

“If you call us to come, we are gonna show up,” DJ’s father, Theodis Daniel, said. “We will do anything to try to motivate people and give them hope.”

The 13-year-old gained national attention earlier this year when President Trump invited him to join his address to Congress and awarded him the highest honor.

“Tonight, DJ, we’re going to do you the biggest honor of them all,” Trump said during his speech. “I’m asking our new Secret Service director, Sean Curran, to officially make you an agent of the United States Secret Service.”

DJ’s Most Recent Diagnosis

The White House announced earlier this week that DJ has unfortunately been diagnosed with three new tumors.

Theodis confirmed the news, understandably devastated at the diagnosis.

“He does have three new tumors. It’s rough. There isn’t a class that can teach you how to deal with it. You’re hearing that your child has a nasty disease,” he said.

Although they are unsure of how long the young boy has left on this earth, Theodis said they are doing everything they can to continue making an impact.

“We’re just going around showing people, ‘Hey, you do care for one another. Let’s give compassion and let’s try to join and help each other get through things,’” the father said.
