on Oct 01, 2025

Toby Keith Is Inspiring The Next Generation Of Country Artists
Ella Langley is paying tribute to the late, great Toby Keith.
The Alabama native is quickly making a name for herself in the country music industry. Having just released her debut album Hungover in 2024, she is already the recipient of four ACM Awards and is tied for the most nominations for the 2025 CMA Awards.
The “Weren’t For The Wind” singer was one of a handful of artists who honored Toby Keith earlier this year with a collection of his covers available exclusively on Apple Music. Megan Moroney, Riley Green, Parker McCollum, Tucker Wetmore, and Ashley McBryde also lent their talents to the project.
Along with her rendition of “Wish I Didn’t Know Now,” Langley wrote:
“I think that’s what it takes to be an artist like Toby Keith: giving your all, letting your fans in, and seeing who you are as a human being, because we’re just human beings at the end of the day. Whether it was through being onstage or being in a writers’ room, he just told the truth and was honest about what he believed in. It’s inspiring.”
