Taylor Swift Sends Mom Love After CMT Award Win

The 2021 CMT Music Awards took place on Wednesday night (June 9).

7+ awards were given out with Carrie Underwood and John Legend winning the coveted Video of the Year Award for their duet “Hallelujah.”

There were a couple new categories this year including Best Family Feature. The nominees were as follows:

Brooke Eden — “Sunroof”
Kane Brown — “Worship You”
Luke Combs — “Forever After All”
Miranda Lambert — “Settling Down”
Russell Dickerson — “Home Sweet”
Taylor Swift — “The Best Day (Taylor’s Version)”

The category was voted on by fans on CMT’s Instagram and Facebook stories. While the Best Family Feature category was not included in the live award show, the winner was announced right before the show on Twitter. And that person was…Taylor Swift!

The Grammy-winning singer took to Twitter to share her reaction. She wrote, “I LOVE YOU MOM.”
