The two broke the news via Instagram early Tuesday morning (August 26) with a photo showing Travis down on one knee in the middle of a fairytale-esq setting. “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.”
Their journey began in July 2023, when Travis attended Taylor’s Eras Tour stop at Arrowhead Stadium. What started as a playful attempt by the Kansas City Chiefs tight end to give the singer a friendship bracelet with his phone number, turned into one of the most high-profile celebrity relationships today.
“If you’re up on Taylor Swift concerts, there are friendship bracelets, and I received a bunch of them being there, but I wanted to give Taylor Swift one with my number on it,” Travis admitted during an episode of his New Heights podcast.

By September 2023, the “Cruel Summer” singer was spotted in Travis’ family suite during a Chiefs game, setting off rumors that were soon confirmed with public appearances, including a memorable Saturday Night Live afterparty together.
“By the time I went to that first game, we were a couple,” she later confirmed. “I think some people think that they saw our first date at that game? We would never be psychotic enough to hard launch a first date.”

Taylor and Travis have remained relatively private regarding their personal life, rarely posting photos with one another on social media.
The two have, however, since consistently shown up for each other throughout their relationship. Taylor was a regular presence at Chiefs games during the 2023–2024 NFL season, including their Super Bowl LVIII victory over the San Francisco 49ers in February 2024. Kelce has also flown all around the globe to attend stops on her record-breaking Eras Tour, often appearing in the crowd and backstage to support her.
