Texas Couple Killed Just Hours After Getting Married
on Nov 05, 2018
Your wedding day should be the happiest day of your life. For one country couple, the beautiful day took a tragic turn when it turned out to be the last of their lives.
Young Love Is Eternal
Will Byler and Bailee Ackermann Byler were madly in love. Through thick and thin, they were there to pick each other in hard times and laughed during the good.
Their wedding photographer remembers the two as full of life and love saying, “I remember the first time I ever met Will + Bailee like the back of my hand. We were running around like a bunch of hooligans after the college rodeo. The night ended with 15 Americans + 4 Canadians in a mini van Uber & about 40 McDoubles from McDonalds. These two loved each other SO much & it was evident for anyone who was ever around them.”
They fun-loving couple also supported their passions together. Bailee was at Will’s side when he won rodeos and as he pursued his cowboy dream.

A Fairy Tale Wedding
So when the two were to be wed, everyone was excited for them. Friends were showing off Bailee’s beautiful ring.

On their wedding day, everything was set up perfectly. The wedding photographer described the event as a “magical, fairytale wedding.”

Taken Too Soon
But in a tragic turn of events, the bride and groom only got to celebrate the day of their wedding without the life-long marriage they were so excited for. As they boarded the helicopter that was supposed to whisk them away off into their future, no one could have imagined what would happen next.
The morning after the wedding, guests woke up to an unspeakable tragedy – according to the NY Post, the couple’s helicopter had crashed into a nearby mountainside. The family and loved ones of the couple are grief-stricken by the event.

A Strong Community
Their tragedy has been difficult for everyone. Parents, friends, and the cowboy community have felt a heartbreak we can’t even imagine. Their cherished loved ones have shown an outpouring of love for the couple and are serving as a support system for each other.
Bailee Ackerman & Will Byler celebrated their fairytale wedding last night, left in a helicopter & the helicopter crashed, killing them both. I’ve never been so heartbroken over deaths of people I don’t even know but this is the saddest story I’ve heard. 💔 prayers up. pic.twitter.com/OZfnUBJpIi

While the community continues to mend, one thing is for sure – the two were head-over-heels in love with each other and their memory will never be forgotten. Please continue to keep all who knew them in your thoughts and prayers as they continue to heal.
