The Masked Singer Reveals ‘Duck Dynasty’ Star Willie Robertson Is Voice Behind Mallard
on Nov 17, 2021
We didn’t see this one coming! And neither did any of the judges on The Masked Singer who failed to recognize the voice of the Mallard as belonging to Willie Robertson of Duck Dynasty fame.
During Wednesday night’s episode of The Masked Singer, a reality singing competition that hides famous voices behind masks, two celebrities were eliminated. One of those was Willie Robertson who was disguised as a duck…more specifically, a wood duck. Throughout his tenure on the show, Robertson covered songs by Brooks & Dunn, Big & Rich, Flo Rida, and Sugar Ray. His performances and clues to his identity had the judges baffled.
Prior to his reveal, the judges each guessed who they thought was behind the 9-foot 6-inch-tall costume. With guesses from Toby Keith and Dierks Bentley to Billy Ray Cyrus and Dog the Bounty Hunter, the panel never came close to guessing that Willie Robertson was the man with the voice. Perhaps it’s because the costume was so obvious that it through them off his trail.

In his post-elimination interview, Willie gave some insight into his experience on the show.
“I feel like I learned a lot about myself….I’ll take the confidence I learned from it back home and put it in all kinds of aspects of my life,” Willie said. “A lot times we’re scared of taking that chance. They’ll say you can’t do it. Go try it, you know? For me it’s been so rewarding.”
