In the clip, Blake Shelton’s nostalgia seemingly transports the judges into an ’80s music video with plenty of fringe, denim, and shoulder pads. Blake leads the musical quartet into a cover of Rick Astley’s “Together Forever” while dawning an oversized suit.

The promo music video pulls inspiration directly from Astley’s 1988 music video. Blake is channeling Astley throughout the performance. The producers even added a bit of videotape static and hypnotic graphics that will resonate with any ’80s babies watching the show.

Catch The Voice’s return March 1st on NBC at 8 p.m. ET. Until then, check out the coach’s full music video below.
