Singer Gets Two Chair Turns For Incredible Cover Of "Burning House" (YouTube/NBC)

The Season 30 Blind Auditions continued Monday, Oct. 5, as The Voice coaches Queen Latifah, Adam Levine, Kelly Clarkson, and Riley Green continued adding artists to their teams.

With each coach working to fill a 12-member team, the competition is heating up as the number of available spots continues to dwindle.

At the beginning of Monday’s episode, Levine had five spots still open on his team, while Latifah, Clarkson, and Green each had four. With the coaches having already used all of their First-In buttons, every remaining audition carried even more weight as they competed to secure the singers they wanted most.

North Carolina native Luke Cope impressed the coaches as he took the stage to deliver a performance of Cam’s “Burning House.” The father of three had the coaches waiting until the final seconds, when both Levine and Queen Latifah turned their chairs.

Green explained that he ultimately didn’t turn his chair because of some “tempo issues” he heard at the beginning of Cope’s performance.

Levine, though, was pulled in by the emotion behind Cope’s voice. He called him “interesting” and said his performance made him stop and really listen to what he was feeling.

While he admitted there were still some things the singer could work on, Levine said the power he showed at the end won him over. He also told Cope that there was something “extremely unique and special” about him.

In the end, despite being “conflicted” over the decision, Cope went with Queen Latifah as his coach.
