A new The Voice champion will be crowned next week, and on Tuesday night, the Mic Drop winner and two more finalists were announced.

Season 28 of The Voice is quickly coming to an end. The season saw the return of Reba McEntire, Michael Buble, Niall Horan, and Snoop Dogg as coaches, and quite possibly the most talented lineup of contestants the show has seen in years.

48 contestants made it past the Blind Auditions, with each coach building a team of 12. After weeks of intense competition featuring Battles, Knockouts, and Playoffs, the field was whittled down to 6 finalists.

Each coach narrowed their team down to four team members. During the two episodes of Playoff performances, the coaches chose one artist they wanted to represent them in the finals. The remaining 12 (3 from each team) were up for public vote. America had the opportunity to choose which two they wanted to see in the finale.

Who are The Voice Season 28 finalists?

During the first night of the Playoffs, which aired on December 1, Reba McEntire and Michael Bublé revealed which team member they were taking to the finale. Reba chose Aubrey Nicole and Michael chose Jazz McKenzie.

This week, Snoop Dogg and Niall Horan’s teams sang one more time in hopes of securing their place in the finale. At the end of the night, Snoop chose Ralph Edwards and Niall picked Aiden Ross. The remaining two finalists chosen by America will be revealed at the start of next week’s two-night finale.

Who won the Mic Drop?

For the first time in The Voice history, a Mic Drop was introduced. During the Knockout Round, each coach was allowed to choose one artist from their team as their Mic Drop nominee. These artists then went up for a public vote to decide who would have the honor of performing at the Rose Parade on New Year’s Day.

DEK of Hearts (Team Niall), Max Chambers (Team Bublé), Aaron Nichols (Team Reba), and Yoshihanaa (Team Snoop) were the Mic Drop nominees.
