Development of Eric Church’s Downtown Nashville venue is underway

Last summer, Eric Church gave fans a sneak peek of his new honky tonk, Chiefs, which is being developed out of a historic building situated along downtown Nashville’s infamous Broadway. The multi-level establishment promises to be a haven for country music lovers, featuring a bar, restaurant, and live entertainment all under one roof.

The space is planned to include a ticketed music venue as well as a studio for broadcasting Eric Church Outsiders Radio on SiriusXM and broadcasts by other media partners.

Originally, the unique establishment was said to be opening in 2023, however, that has not yet happened.

A rendering of the future interior of Chiefs shows a wooden stage flanked by a double-decker floor that offers a unique vantage point for those looking to enjoy performances from above. Stained glass windows add color to the scene and highlight the building’s historic roots.

Eric Church gifts fans a piece of his new honky tonk

This week, members of Eric Church’s fan club, known as the “Church Choir,” received their very own piece of Chiefs. Church gifted each member a personal ownership deed to a brick that sits within the physical framework of the Nashville establishment.

To take things one step further, fans were able to go online to see exactly where their brick is located in the building. Along with the gift, came and exclusive message from Church:

“You’ve helped me build my career brick by brick, and I want the whole world to know that the building is yours. This is not just another club downtown. This is our house. I’ve been involved in every step of restoring this historic building into a place we can call our own and, because you’ve been with me every step of my career, I’m proud to dedicate a physical brick of the Chief’s building to each and every one of you.”

Digital versions of the bricks gave fans access to exclusive content

Paired with the deed to the physical brick were digital bricks, which gave fans access to never-before-heard demos, unreleased video footage, and priority entry when the venue eventually opens.

Additionally, these new brick owners had the chance to opt into contests to win exciting prizes including the chance to record a guest DJ set at the Chief’s studio as part of Church’s SiriusXM Outsiders Radio “Insiders Hour,” a year-long subscription to SiriusXM, a Church-signed guitar with access to a guitar lesson from Church’s guitarist Driver Williams, and more.

The official opening date for Eric Church’s Chiefs has not yet been announced, but one thing is for sure – it will be unlike any of the other honky tonks along Broadway. Stay tuned for updates!
