September 11, 2021 was the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. Celebrities filled social media with tributes to those who lost their lives on that tragic day.

There were also many tributes made to the first responders who went above and beyond to assist in the rescue efforts. Many of those first responders ended up losing their own lives.

Actor Tim Allen, known for his roles in shows such as Home Improvement and Last Man Standing, wrote one of the most moving posts about 9/11. He spoke about how seeing all of the memorial content “hits [him] hard.”

Memories of that day as we watched in such horror,” Allen wrote. “We were attacked as one country and as one people.”

Allen then went on to pay tribute to the first responders who died while trying to save others. He wrote:

Humbled at the men and women who made the ultimate [sacrifice] and went to save those in need. Bless them all.”

Allen’s message received over 17,000 like and over 1,000 retweets. His words clearly touched the hearts of the many people who read what he had to say.

One of the memorial videos Allen may have seen was a video from NBC 4 News out of New York City. The video offers a “minute by minute” breakdown of the events that unfolded on September 11, 2001. You can watch that powerful video below.
