Tim Allen Visits Jay Leno In Hospital, Shares Update On His Condition

CNBC Prime / YouTube

Comedian and former Tonight Show host Jay Leno was seriously burned in his garage last week. He shared a statement with E! News on November 14, saying:

“I got some serious burns from a gasoline fire. I am ok. Just need a week or two to get back on my feet.”

Jay went to the Grossman Burn Center in Los Angeles to receive treatment. The Burn Center released its own statement to KTLA on November 14, saying:

Jay Leno is in stable condition and he’s receiving treatment here at the burn center to his face and his hands from a gasoline accident in his garage over the weekend.”

Actor and comedian Tim Allen, who is a good friend of Leno’s, recently visited him. He shared an update on Leno’s condition when he spoke with paparazzi outside of the Burn Center.

He’s feeling better,” Allen said in a video published by TMZ. “We did some jokes, which is what we do. We commiserated.”

The Home Improvement and Last Man Standing star praised the Burn Center and the people working there. “The hospital is doing a great job taking care of him,” he shared.

We’re relieved to hear from Allen that Leno is doing well in spite of everything that’s happened to him.

Allen and Leno have been close friends for years. Leno had a recurring role on Last Man Standing, and Allen famously appeared on Leno’s series Jay Leno’s Garage. Watch one of their best moments together in the video below.

We’ll continue to keep Leno in our thoughts as he recovers…
