The 2025 Toby Keith & Friends Fundraising Event Was A Huge Success
Those who donated to and participated in the 2025 Toby Keith & Friends Golf Classic are helping keep Toby’s legacy alive.
For 21 years, the Toby Keith & Friends Golf Classic has helped raise funds to support The Toby Keith Foundation’s work with the OK Kids Korral. Toby was actively involved in the fundraiser during his lifetime. Following his death on February 5, 2024, his loved ones are ensuring that his work continues.
Last year (2024), the event raised a record-setting $3.1 million. As a press release on Toby’s website details, that total also included the one-time establishment of an endowment.
This year (2025), the Toby Keith & Friends Golf Classic raised an impressive total of $1.4 million. The funds were raised throughout the two-day event from May 30 to 31 at the Riverwind Casino and Toby’s Belmar Golf Club.

Toby’s good friend, Sammy Hagar, hosted this year’s fundraiser. He started the event with a $10,000 donation from the Hagar Family Foundation. Toby’s wife, Tricia Covel, followed by making a $25,000 donation. Over $100,000 was raised during the first two minutes of the event alone.
Shawn Parr emceed the live auction with help from Jim West. The auction raised $600,000 of the event’s $1.4 million total, with top prizes including a Kentucky Derby package and a Limited Edition Toby Keith Military Guitar.
A silent auction also generated some hefty donations. Some of the highest bids were placed on a Lainey Wilson concert experience and a cowboy hat autographed by George Strait.
Additionally, 53 golf teams were involved in the shotgun start tournament, held on the event’s second day.
“I had a blast … would be happy to do it again,” Hagar said about this year’s event. “Toby would’ve done that and more for me any day.”
What Is The OK Kids Korral?
The $1.4 million raised by this year’s Toby Keith & Friends Golf Classic will go toward the OK Kids Korral. The OK Kids Korral is supported by The Toby Keith Foundation, which Toby founded in 2006. The foundation’s mission “is to encourage the health and happiness of pediatric cancer patients and to support OK Kids Korral.”
The OK Kids Korral opened its doors in 2014. The Korral is a cost-free place for pediatric cancer patients and their families to stay while the child undergoes treatment.
Located in Toby’s home state of Oklahoma, the Korral hosts hundreds of families each year. “OK Kids Korral is not their home, but with love and encouragement, we will strive to make it the next best thing,” the Korral’s website reads.
Toby once called the Korral “my best gift I’ve ever given to the world.” That gift keeps giving, even though Toby is no longer with us.
The OK Kids Korral raises funds year-round, not just during the Toby Keith & Friends Golf Classic. If you’d like to make a donation yourself, you can do so by visiting the Toby Keith Foundation’s official website.
