Chet Hanks, the 29-year-old son of famous actor Tom Hanks and his actress / country singer wife, Rita Wilson, has broken his silence on their condition since they both announced they have contracted the novel coronavirus, COVID-19.

Just a day ago, Tom and Rita shared that they had been feeling under the weather while in Australia filming a movie. They went to the doctor and both were tested for COVID-19 and the results came back positive.
“Well, now. What to do next? The Medical Officials have protocols that must be followed. We Hanks’ will be tested, observed, and isolated for as long as public health and safety requires. Not much more to it than a one-day-at-a-time approach,” Tom wrote.
Both are now self-isolating and being tested by medical officials until they are deemed to be no longer contagious.

One of the couple’s sons, Chet Hanks, took to social media and shared a video of himself addressing his parent’s condition and explaining how they are doing with it all.
“What’s up everyone. Yeah, it’s true, my parents got coronavirus, crazy. They’re both down in Australia right now because my dad was shooting a movie down there.”
“But I just got off the phone with them and they both are fine. They’re not even that sick, they’re not worried about it, they’re not tripping, but they’re going through the necessary health precautions, obviously. But I don’t think it’s anything to be too worried about.”
We are looking forward to Tom and Rita’s swift recovery from this virus.
Just as a reminder, please continue to practice good handwashing techniques, be diligent about keeping surfaces and workspaces sanitary, and stop buying unnecessary amounts of toilet paper.
