Jackson’s unbelievably gifted vocals caught the eye of country music stars all across the genre. The singer admitted that while spending time in the Marines, he began fueling his love for music through country classics. One artist that really inspired him was Randy Travis who he met during his USO tour. Since then, Jackson has worked with several members of the country music community. On his latest album titled Tony Jackson, he has some big features including Vince Gill, John Sebastian, and hall of Fame songwriter Norro Wilson.
Jackson received a hand-written letter the other day from a fan. The neon-pink card read “Thank you & God Bless You!” on the outside, but the inside carried the real message. Five hours from where Jackson was, two of his fans drove up for a very special occasion. The card was written by a man whose brother suffered a horrible accident when he was 4-years-old. Fred was only a toddler when he was hit by a drunk driver. Fred’s brother tells Jackson in the letter “mentally, he’s a little slow. He’s now 63.” Fred’s brother admitted in the card that Fred is a big fan of Jackson especially his rendition of “Grand Tour.” The card asked,
“Would you please sing and dedicated this song to Fred. Thank you so much.”
This song has played a special role in Jackson’s career making a beautiful impact on his fans as well.
