It happened over the weekend on Easter Sunday and many people are comparing the incident to a scene from the Wizard Of Oz movie. The house was carried 150 feet from its original location where it’s been since the 1950s.

The owners, Debra Daniels and her husband had it rented out to a couple and they searched for them but weren’t able to find or call them. They feared the worst happened to them but fortunately found out that they were not home that weekend.

Debra was actually in her own home when she woke up in the middle of the night around 2am and heard the tornado coming. She said it sounded just like a freight train and she quickly woke her husband up to get to a safe spot. The tornado ripped off part of her chimney and roof and shredded the trees surrounding her property.

The Upson County Police Department called in a clean-up crew to bulldoze the home out of the street and then had the fire department come spray the remaining debris off the road. The tornado caused heavy damage to dozens of other surrounding homes and killed 8 people that night.
