massive tornadoes coming

According to the Storm Prediction Center there are massive tornadoes coming towards Texas and Oklahoma. These tornadoes appear to be following the same path that’ll put 2 million people in harm’s way.

“An outbreak of tornadoes, some potentially long-track and violent, is expected today into this evening,” the Storm Prediction Center (SPC) warned. This event should result in a significant threat to life and property.”

On the weather maps, you can see that Oklahoma City is in a high-risk zone along with many more major cities. Meteorologist, Mike Smith, tweeted “I’d certainly label this the ‘nightmare scenario” while he was looking at the storm path predictions.

“It looks like there is no end in sight to this very active pattern of severe weather into the end of May,” AccuWeather Extreme Meteorologist Reed Timmer said.

With the rare combination of warm summer air and cold winter-like air mixing together, it’s going to release an intense storm that will rage for a while. It appears we’re looking at more bad weather for the rest of the month of May for Texas and Oklahoma.

Hopefully, it will pass quickly and safely and everyone can get back to school and work.
