Trisha Yearwood Shows Off “Bonus Mom” Mother’s Day Gift

She may not have any children of her own, but she did have a hand in raising husband Garth Brooks’ three daughters, Taylor, August, and Allie.

So, on Mother’s Day this year, Garth made sure that the woman he calls “Queen” felt the love for all that she has done being a ‘Bonus Mom.” He gave her the most beautiful flower arrangement with her favorite flowers, peonies.

“He knows I love flowers. Peonies in particular,” she wrote. “He knows I love being a bonus mom. And he knows how lucky I feel to be a part of those girls’ lives. He makes me feel special every day.“

Although the day is meant to be a joyous one, celebrating all the moms in your life, both Garth and Trisha’s mom have passed away, so it is also a day of sadness.

“He knows today…Today I miss my mama. As much as he misses his,” she wrote.

Garth’s daughter, musician Allie Colleen, took to her Instagram to give a special shout-out to her mom, Sandy, Trisha – who she referred to as her “momma”- and her sister, August.
