Duck Dynasty’s Si Robertson Visits San Quentin Prison
Si Robertson, known affectionately as Uncle Si from the Duck Dynasty franchise, has never been shy about his faith. Recently, the 76-year-old partnered with God Behind Bars to visit inmates incarcerated at the infamous San Quentin Prison.
San Quentin is the oldest prison in California and has the largest death row in the United States. Additionally, it has the only death row for male inmates in the state of California.
An estimated 2.3 million people are incarcerated each year in the United States, 90% of whom will rejoin society at some point in their lifetime. Inmates are considered to be the most “unchurched” population in the country.
God Behind Bars is on a mission “to introduce inmates to Jesus and connect them to the local church.” They do this by partnering with churches, ministries, and influential individuals like Si Robertson.
The non-profit organization says they will “stop at nothing to ensure every inmate in the U.S. has direct and personal access to the Gospel.”

Uncle Si Tells Inmates About “The Man” Jesus Christ
During his visit, Uncle Si gave an impassioned display of faith in front of 400 inmates. He shared with the men of the hope that can be found through Jesus Christ.
“You can’t get low enough that He can’t pick you up, clean you up, make you right.”
Si spoke with charisma as he continued:
“He’s the man that could raise dead men. Okay, there ain’t nothing that you or me could do that can keep us from His love.”
Uncle Si reminds the men that they are children of the Creator and adds:
“You can’t be bad enough that God don’t still love you. Because we’re all broken, baby… Praise be to God. Jesus is the fixer.”
Hundreds Of Inmates Impacted By Uncle Si’s Message
In a clip shared on social media, God Behind Bars revealed that more than 200 men found salvation on the day of Uncle Si’s visit. They wrote:
“This was a moment that shifted the prison. Incarcerated men leaned in to hear the hope of Jesus. Over 200 men came to know Jesus on this day! There is hope for those behind prison walls. There is nothing that our God can’t do!“
