A man in Texas was in for quite the surprise when he went to his bathroom recently. Instead of an empty toilet, he was greeted by a snake – and he filmed it.

Payton Malone, a meteorologist for CBS in New Orleans, tweeted the video out to his 2,000 followers.

I always thought this was an irrational fear of mine…apparently not. Friend out in west Texas found this.

In the video, his friend was trying to coax the snake out with a golf club.

The video has over 2.3 million views, over 10,000 retweets, and over 16,000 likes, which is pretty incredible seeing as Malone only has 2,000 followers!

One Twitter user joked, “Nope. Never using a toilet again. Throw the whole house away.”

Another explained that Texans are always wondering how snakes get in their homes, and this is exactly how.

I live in Houston and everyone always makes sure the toilet lid is always down when not in use. If there’s a break in the sewer system, in your own line or the cities lines, they’ll come in that way. People are always wondering how snakes get in their homes, this is how,” they wrote.
