Since his win, so much has happened in his life! He released his coronation song, “Better Off Without You,” which he co-wrote, got engaged to his girlfriend Brittney, and married her on March 7, 2021.

He also released a duet with Kelly Clarkson, titled “I Would Have Loved You.”

And now, one of the biggest things to date has happened to him…he and his wife, Brittney are expecting their first child together! He is already Dad to seven-year-old daughter, Macy.

He and Brittney (and Macy) announced the news on social media with Jake singing an original song and Macy and Brittney holding up papers with the lyrics. The final paper read, “Baby Hoot comin’ soon.”

Hoot’s caption said, “And then suddenly…#therewerefour”

Clearly, they love the saying “And then suddenly,” because it is hanging above their bed with their wedding anniversary.
