Voices Of Fire Gospel Choir Perform Powerful National Anthem At Game 1 Of World Series

The 2025 World Series Kicked Off On October 24.

The Los Angeles Dodgers and the Toronto Blue Jays will face off in the 2025 World Series, which kicks off on Friday, October 24 at Rogers Centre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Since the Blue Jays have a higher seed, they are hosting the first two games On October 24th and 25th. Games three and four will take place in Los Angeles on October 27th, 28th, and 29th. If needed, the series will return to Toronto on October 31st and November 1st.

On October 23, Major League Baseball announced that Pharrell and Gospel choir Voices of Fire would be performing before the first pitch of Game 1.

MLB also says that they will perform a “synthesized setlist featuring ‘ARE YOU READY?’ and ‘THE ONE’ from their new album OPHANIM.”

Pharrell And Voices Of Fire Performed The Soundtrack To The MLB Postseason Campaign

In 2020, Netflix premiered a show titled Voices of Fire, which followed Grammy Award-winning singer Pharrell Williams and his uncle, Bishop Ezekiel Williams, form a gospel choir.

Now, they perform together quite often, including recently at the Grace For The World special at the Vatican in Italy.

They also came together for a powerful postseason campaign for the MLB postseason campaign, using their song “ARE YOU READY?”

Voices Of Fire Performed The National Anthem

Following the pre-game performance, Voices of Fire stayed on the field to perform the national anthem of both the United States and Canada.

Viewers agreed that the performance was one of the best ever, with many calling it “majestic,” “fantastic,” and “heartwarming.”
