Walmart Announces Major Price Cuts On Thousands Of Popular Items
on

In a time when just about everything seems to be getting more expensive, Walmart is doing the opposite by lowering prices on thousands of items.
That’s right, the retail giant will be cutting costs of many everyday essentials in an effort to help customers save money throughout the summer months.
The lower prices officially went into effect last week and are available no matter how customers choose to shop. The discounts can be found in stores, on Walmart’s website, and through the Walmart app.
Additionally, Sam’s Club (owned by Walmart Inc.) is also lowering prices at its locations, online, and through the Sam’s Club app.
“Customers count on Walmart to deliver the value they need every day, and summer is no exception,” says Julie Barber, Executive Vice President and Chief Merchant of Walmart U.S. “This summer, we’re making even more investments in price, with thousands of Rollbacks across the products customers are shopping for most, including beef, fresh produce and beverages, grills, pools, toys, and summer fashion apparel.”

Walmart’s rollout of Rollbacks was addressed by President Donald Trump on Truth Social earlier this week, where he credited his administration for the price cuts. A portion of the social media post read:
“I have just been informed that one of the biggest, best, and smartest Retailers in America, Walmart, will be lowering prices, by a lot, at my Administration’s request to celebrate our great Country’s 250th birthday.”
Despite the president’s claims, Walmart has not confirmed any involvement from his administration regarding the new and improved pricing. Trump’s name was not mentioned in the company’s original press release.
Which Walmart Items Have Lowered In Price?
