The U.S. Food and Drug Administration published a notice about the product on May 15, stating that the seasoning contains a dry milk powder ingredient that could be the source of the potential salmonella contamination. The milk powder was originally recalled in April by California Dairies, Inc.
“Blackstone Products of Providence, Utah is voluntarily recalling certain lots of Blackstone Parmesan Ranch seasoning products because they have the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella,” the FDA states. “Blackstone’s action is based on a California Dairies, Inc. recall of dry milk powder due to potential Salmonella contamination. The affected milk powder ingredient was supplied to a third-party manufacturer and used in the seasoning product.”
Specifically, the recall involves 7.3-ounce containers with the product number 4106. The “Best If Used By” dates on these bottles fall between July 2, 2027, and August 12, 2027.
The affected seasoning may include three different lot numbers:
- #2025-43282
- #2025-46172
- #2026-54751.
The product is only sold at Walmart and through the official Blackstone Products website.

What Are The Risks Of Salmonella Infection?
Although the FDA has clarified that no illnesses have been reported in connection with the Blackstone Parmesan Ranch seasoning, it’s still important not to take any risks by consuming the product.
Salmonella infections can cause serious illness, and in some cases, can even be fatal.
Some people may not experience any symptoms if they are infected, according to the Mayo Clinic. When symptoms do appear, they typically include diarrhea, fever, and stomach cramps within 8 to 72 hours after exposure.
Other possible symptoms include nausea, vomiting, chills, headache, and blood in the stool.
While most people recover within a few days to a week, without medical treatment, complications can occur in some cases, and the infection can spread beyond the intestines.
Blackstone Products is offering a replacement product for customers who may have purchased the Parmesan Ranch seasoning.
You can call the number 1-888-879-4610 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. EST, Monday through Friday, to receive the new item.
