Wedding Countdown – Blake Shelton And Gwen Stefani Are Set To Tie The Knot

Roughly six years after meeting, Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani are getting ready to say “I do.” The couple who met on the set of The Voice got their marriage license in Oklahoma Tuesday (June 29), meaning that the big day is almost here.

PEOPLE reports that Shelton (45) and Stefani (51) filed for their marriage license through the Johnston County Clerk near Tishomingo, Oklahoma, where Shelton’s ranch is located. The license is only valid for 10 days after issuance.

The country crooner and pop queen first met in 2015 when both were coaches on The Voice and were each rebounding from divorces. Their friendship blossomed and the pair started dating later that year.

When many relationships were suffering during 2020, Blake and Gwen seemed to only grow closer as they quarantined, along with Gwen’s 3 boys, at Shelton’s Oklahoma ranch. In October, Blake proposed. The pair made the announcement on social media, saying: “Hey @gwenstefani thanks for saving my 2020… And the rest of my life.. I love you. I heard a YES!”

The couple are rumored to be tying the knot at Shelton’s 1,300 acre ranch, named Ten Point Ranch. The property features ponds, a horse barn and a four-bedroom home.

Shelton has teased the wedding without sharing too many details. While guest hosting TODAY in April, Shelton shared that the wedding is “hopefully this summer. With COVID, it looks like it may be okay, but I don’t know.

Gwen told Seth Meyers earlier this year that the wedding was going to be simple, but a party was guaranteed.

“We’re keeping it very simple. Really simple,” Stefani said. “It’s going to be fun. We’re going to make it really fun, but it’s not going to be a big [event]. It’s not like the queen and king are getting married or something like that.”
