When Is “The Voice” Coming Back?
on Jun 30, 2022
For the first time in a long time, there was no spring season of The Voice this year. The show decided to just air one season in 2022, and it has yet to premiere.
Since Voice fans have been waiting for Season 22 much longer than usual, they’re understandably anxious to learn more about the new season.
We already know who is serving as the coaches for Season 22: Blake Shelton, John Legend, Gwen Stefani, and Camila Cabello. This will be Cabello’s first time serving as a coach, while Stefani returns after a multi-season break to coach her sixth season. Legend has been a consistent coach since Season 16, and Shelton has been with the show from the start.
This coaching announcement came as a surprise to some, since longtime coach and Season 21 champion Kelly Clarkson is not returning. Ariana Grande also did not return following her first time coaching during Season 21.

All of the Season 22 coaches have already been filming for the show since the auditions, battles, and knockouts are pre-taped. They recently threw a birthday celebration for Shelton and the show’s host Carson Daly, whose birthdays are just days apart.
Daly spoke about how Season 22 is going so far, saying:
“Shout to our brand new coach @camila_cabello for immediately becoming family & crushing it on the show! Can’t wait for you all to see it in Sept! The talent is maybe the best I’ve ever seen so far.“
