While the idea of a wild turkey breaking into a home sounds unusual, this happens from time to time. In 2019, similar incidents occurred in Utah and California. Of course, if a wild turkey enters your home for a visit, be sure to call animal services right away. While turkeys are not usually aggressive, they may be hurt, or may lash out due to feeling scared or threatened. Your local animal care or humane services agency will be able to help you get the animal out of your home quickly and safely.
