Zach Bryan Offers Support And Prayers For Omaha Tornado Victims
on Apr 27, 2024
Country music artist Zach Bryan has extended his support and prayers for those affected by the recent tornadoes in Omaha.
The tornadoes wreaked havoc on Friday, causing substantial damage to homes and businesses in the Midwest area, including the collapse of an industrial building with 70 people inside. Fortunately, there were no fatalities reported.
By Saturday morning, the Elkhorn neighborhood of Omaha, a city with a population of 485,000 and a metropolitan area population of about 1 million, echoed with the noise of chainsaws as residents commenced clearing the aftermath of the tornado.
Piles of lumber from the damaged homes and knocked-over fences were visible, while the trees stood skeletal, stripped of most of their branches. The power outages, which had reached a peak of 10,000, had decreased to 4,300 by morning.
“We could hear it coming through,” Pat Woods, a resident of Elkhorn, revealed. “When we came up, our fence was gone and we looked to the northwest and the whole neighborhood’s gone.”
Nebraska Governor Jim Pillen announced on social media that he had directed the availability of state resources to provide assistance. He also expressed his gratitude to the state troopers, county deputy sheriffs, and police officers.
God bless the men and women in, and exemplified, by this image. Our law enforcement and emergency responders, who are the first to rush in after a disaster to protect life, health and property. Thank you to our state troopers, county deputy sheriffs and police officers. https://t.co/A0e9Fu53sg

The community is coming together to support those affected, with the Minden United Church of Christ, which survived the storm, planning to bring meals to those in need using 4-wheel-drive vehicles.
The entire situation has overwhelmed many people, as Pastor Eric Biehl described.
“A lot of people are just kind of in shock,” Biehl revealed. “It’s all overwhelming now.”
Zach Bryan, who is from Oklahoma, shared his thoughts and prayers in response to the Omaha tornados.
In a recent social media update, the “I Remember Everything” singer offered his support to the community.
“As an American and someone who lived in Omaha for some pretty formidable years of my life, I want to offer some honest prayers and hopes to the communities affected by the tornadoes that tore through them.”
Bryan also revealed that his band is scheduled to perform at a few shows in the city.
He concluded his post by stating, “Without taking credit from the thousands of people lending a hand who have roots here, we love you so much and we’ll do all we can to help.”
