Singer-songwriter Zach Bryan dropped a brand-new song on Friday, November 8.

Zach Bryan first teased the song on November 2 on Instagram, though he called the track “motorbreath.”

The “Something In The Orange” singer chose to title it “High Road” and released it on Thursday, November 8. In his social media post describing the song, he says he wrote the chorus a couple months ago after he realized how blessed he has been in his career and life from being on the cover of The Rolling Stone, to touring for the last five years, to living in New York, to spending time with his sister.

Just two days prior, on November 6, Bryan released “This World’s A Giant” without any promotion.

The song releases come two weeks after his breakup from girlfriend Brianna Chickenfry

Brianna Chickenfry, whose real name is Brianna LaPaglia, is a Barstool Sports podcaster who was dating Bryan since June 2023.

She accompanied him on tour, to many red carpet events, and they spent lots of downtime together, and even got into a near-death ATV accident together.

On October 22, Bryan took to his Instagram stories to reveal that the couple of over a year had split.

“Addressing something: Brianna and me have broken up with eachother [sic] and I respect and love her with every ounce of my heart. She has loved me unconditionally for a very long time and for that I’ll always thank her. I have had an incredibly hard year personally and struggled through some pretty severe things. I thought it would be beneficial for both of us to go our separate ways. I am not perfect and never will be.

After asking for his fans to “respect Brianna’s privacy,” he said, “With everything I am and to anyone I let down, I am sorry. I try my best in everything. I failed people that love me and mostly myself.”

Brianna shared her own statement, saying she was “blindsided” by the public announcement of the breakup. She thought they would both be able to process the breakup privately before announcing anything puiblicly.

“Hey guys,” she wrote. “I’m feeling really blindsided right now. Gonna hop off social media for a while and attempt to heal privately, when I’m ready I’ll be back and ready to talk. I love you guys so much thank you for all of your kind words. Remember you are so loved and everything’s always gonna be okay.”

Zach Bryan released his new song at the same time Brianna’s tell-all podcast about their relationship and break up.

Brianna co-hosts the BFFs podcast with Josh Richards and Barstool owner Dave Portnoy. Earlier this week, Portnoy and Richards released a “diss track” titled “Smallest Man.”

In the podcast episode, Brianna accuses Zach of being emotionally abusive, unfollowing her on social because of a dress she wore to the Golden Globes, and turning down a $12 million offer to sign a non-disclosure agreement.

The last year of my life has been the hardest year of my life, dealing with the abuse from this dude. I’m still scared right now because I’m scared of him still, my brain’s rewired. I’m scared to make him mad. Last week I didn’t want to talk about it because I was scared, so I was like yeah, we can just talk about this stuff that’s public, and I still said ‘F**k your money.’”

“You made the women before me believe that they had no other choice than to take money from you, sign their experiences away, sign what they went through away. You get to skip off and sing your little f*cking songs on stage like you’re a good dude… I don’t want in two years to buy a f*cking house and think, ‘Oh, this is the money from the dude that literally f*cking destroyed me and broke me for a year?’ F*ck that, f*ck you, I don’t want your money.
