Alison Krauss Joins Adam Wakefield For Legendary Duet On ‘The Voice’

Tyler Golden/NBC

Although he did not walk away from Season 10 of The Voice as the winner, Adam Wakefield did something no other contestant did.

He not only was the only contestant to hit No. 1 on iTunes, but he also sang with 27-time Grammy Award-winning songstress, Alison Krauss.

On the final night of competition, Wakefield’s original song, “Lonesome Broken and Blue” climbed quickly to the No. 1 spot on iTunes which made his coach, Blake Shelton, extremely proud.

The next night (May 24), Wakefield performed Little Feat’s 1971 standard, “Willin’” with Krauss. Wakefield’s gritty vocals and guitar paired nicely with Krauss’ angelic tone and fiddling.

The song gave both Krauss and Wakefield a chance to show off their musical talents – vocal and instrumental.
