Country legend Conway Twitty’s daughter Kathy made her father proud with her cover of his classic “Linda on My Mind.”
Kathy isn’t the only one of Conway’s children to inherit his musical gene. For example, his son Michael has long been singing his songs, making sure Twitty’s legacy stays alive and well.

Kathy sang the song with a passion in the same classic country stylings as her father, with her impressive vocals proving that she is indeed Conway’s daughter.
She changed the lyrics up for her version of the song to tell the story of the girl in her dad’s original, who the narrator is planning to leave for his lover by the name of Linda. The woman in her rendition of the song pleads to the man to look past Linda’s bewitching charms and see that she is not right for him.
“Now I’m lying here with Linda on my mind,” sings Kathy. “Trying to find the way to say I know she’s not your kind.”
“Linda on My Mind” was released by the elder Twitty in 1975 off the album of the same name. It hit number one on both the U.S. Billboard Hot Country Singles chart as well as the Canadian RPM Country Tracks charts.
