Everyone said that 2017 was the biggest baby boom in country music, but this year turned out to be a close competitor! Numerous country stars welcomed new additions into their families in 2018, with many becoming first-time parents.
Some families grew as they brought their second or third child into the world this year. Others were blessed with “rainbow babies” after suffering heartbreaking losses. And two country stars welcomed a set of twins!
Join us as we reminisce about some of the most-anticipated births in country music this year. We’ll showcase all of the newborns’ first photos, and also share what they look like now if their parents have continued to share pictures of them.

In August 2017, Lady Antebellum‘s Hillary Scott revealed that she and her husband, drummer Chris Tyrrell, were expecting not one, but two new additions to their family after losing a baby in 2015.

The couple’s miracle babies, identical twins Betsy Mack and Emory JoAnn, came into the world on January 29. They joined big sister Eisele, who is now five.
Since then, Hillary has showcased how much the twins have grown by sharing a new photo of them from time to time. As two of the oldest country music babies born in 2018, it’s incredible to see how much the girls have grown in a year’s time.

Former teen country star and “Who I Am” singer Jessica Andrews welcomed her first child, a son, with husband Marcel Chagnon on February 6.
They chose a strong moniker for their new bundle of joy, naming him Rockwell.

“How do you even figure out words to describe feelings that you didn’t know you could have?” Jessica wrote in an Instagram post introducing her baby boy to the world.
In the months that have passed since Rockwell’s birth, Jessica’s Instagram has been flooded with his many adorable photos. He recently celebrated his first Christmas, and from the looks of it, he seemed to enjoy it!

Country singer Jessie James Decker and her husband, former NFL player Eric Decker, were a strong family of four before 2018. The couple previously welcomed daughter Vivianne Rose in 2014 and son Eric Thomas in 2015.
They finally decided it was time for a new addition, and welcomed a second son this year!

The newest member of the Decker family, little Forrest Bradley, was born on March 31. His birth was surely an emotional one for Jessie and Eric, since she has said he will likely be their last child.
“Realize this is my last baby and how special it’s been,” she wrote on Instagram prior to Forrest’s arrival. “We are SO excited to meet him.”
The Deckers have been soaking up every second they can get with their new baby boy, and he’s now the star of his mama’s social media accounts. It seems like he’s always smiling!

Actress Jamie Lynn Spears caused a bit of a stir in 2007 when she announced she was pregnant at the age of 16. She and her then-boyfriend Casey Aldridge welcomed daughter Maddie Briann Aldridge on June 19, 2008.
After Maddie’s birth, Jamie Lynn turned to country music, and kicked off a successful career as a singer and songwriter, penning hits such as Jana Kramer‘s “I Got the Boy.” At the age of 9, Maddie finally became a big sister when Jamie Lynn and her husband of four years, Jamie Watson, welcomed a daughter, Ivey Joan.

Ivey was born on April 11, just days after Jamie Lynn’s own birthday. In an interview with People shortly after Ivey’s birth, Jamie made it clear that the baby girl and Maddie were already smitten with each other.
“Maddie was the first one to meet her after she was born,” Jamie Lynn said, remarking that Ivey, “was so peaceful the moment her sister held her.”
It seems that Ivey and Maddie have maintained that close bond into today. The two sisters love each other dearly, and their mama couldn’t be happier!

Chris Stapleton and his wife, Morgane, announced this year that they are expecting their fifth child in 2019. But just seven months prior to making that announcement, the duo welcomed their third and fourth children when Morgane gave birth to twins.
The baby boys were born in April, over a month before they were due. Their birth was announced by Reba McEntire after Chris won the award for Album of the Year at the ACM Awards on April 15, which was also his birthday.
Later, Morgane surprised everyone when she shared a photo of the two baby boys. She and Chris have famously kept their eldest kids (a son and daughter) out of the spotlight, so her sharing a photo of the twins was a huge deal.

Since Chris and Morgane want to keep their family life private, they have never shared another photo of the twins, nor have they revealed their names.
But for the first time ever, Chris did share the names of their two eldest children when he accepted an award at the CMA Awards in November. As he thanked various people in his speech, he took the time to recognize his twin boys, son Waylon, and daughter Ada.
This year, Home Free‘s tenor harmony singer Rob Lundquist and his wife, Kelsey, welcomed their second child, a son. The bouncing baby boy joined big sister Lydia, who fans have seen a time or two in the a cappella group’s music videos.
Rob and Kelsey announced in March that she was expecting, and said their baby boy was due to arrive in May. The little guy timed his arrival just right, and Rob announced on May 20 that he made his grand debut!

Along with his baby boy’s first public photo, Rob also shared his name. He and Kelsey chose Charles as his first name and Warren as his second, though Rob admitted they would simply call him “Charlie.”
Like big sister Lydia, Charlie has already appeared in one of Home Free’s music videos. He had a prominent role in the clip they filmed for their rendition of “Spaceship,” which mainly features Rob on lead vocals.
Charlie has also been starring on his father’s Instagram account, as Rob doesn’t go too many days without sharing a new photo of his son.

Merle Haggard‘s youngest son Ben is now a father himself! The 26-year-old singer/guitarist and his girlfriend Jeyda Beyzade welcomed their first child this year, a son.
The baby boy was born on June 29, one day after his due date. His birth occurred just a little over two years after his grandpa Merle passed away in April 2016.

Ben and Jeyda chose to name the baby Liam James. He also carries the Haggard family name and its genes…it was clear from the start he was his daddy’s spitting image.
Although he is only a few months old, baby Liam has already had the chance to rub elbows with some of country music’s most iconic figures. One of his most recent pictures shows an awestruck Kris Kristofferson spending some quality time with the little guy.
And if you had any doubts at first that Liam is Ben’s mini-me, any of his newest photos will shatter those doubts in an instant.

Mike Eli, the frontman of the Eli Young Band, welcomed his second child over the summer. His wife, Kacey, gave birth to a baby boy on July 9, making their longtime family of three a new family of four.
The new addition joined big sister Kline, who was five at the time of his birth but turned six at the end of the same month. Her baby brother shares her first initial, as Mike and Kacey chose to name him Kash.

Kash’s birth was announced on the Eli Young Band Instagram, with Mike writing, “Kash Eli was born happy and healthy this morning and we couldn’t be happier.”
Mike doesn’t have a public social media account separate from the band’s, so we haven’t seen many photos of Kash since he came into the world. But his daddy did share this adorable photo shortly after he was born, and it’s too cute not to share with y’all too.

LOCASH‘s Preston Brust and his wife, Kristen, welcomed their first child, a daughter they named Love Lily, in January 2016. It wasn’t long before the couple decided to have another baby, and Kristen was pregnant once again in 2017, with a due date in August of that year.
Sadly, Kristen lost the baby, and detailed her anguish in a heartbreaking blog post.
After suffering so much sadness, the Brusts found happiness again when Kristen gave birth to their rainbow baby in August.

They named the little boy, their first son, Legend Wilde. The meaning behind his powerful name was revealed in his birth announcement, which read “every map in life needs a Legend.”
To the Brusts, their family is the map, and little Legend is the key that helps guide them through life. Such a meaningful name to give to a little one!

Jana Kramer and her husband, former NFL player Mike Caussin, were yet another country couple to welcome a rainbow baby this year. Not long after the birth of their daughter Jolie Rae in 2016, the couple started planning to welcome a second little one into their home.
After countless IVF treatments and a number of devastating losses, Jana and Mike finally welcomed their second child, a son, in late November.

The Caussins named their new addition Jace Joseph. His mama explained the meaning behind his moniker in an Instagram post, saying they chose it because it means “healing.”
After everything Jana and Mike went through to bring their son into the world, a name that means “healing” seemed like the perfect fit for him.
The little fella may only be a month old, but he’s already a pro in front of the camera. Jana can’t keep herself from sharing photos of her little man, and we can’t help but gush over them!

“Friday Night” singer Eric Paslay and his wife of three years, Natalie, got the best Christmas present ever when they welcomed their baby girl, Piper Lily. They are first-time parents, so the little one’s arrival was a monumental experience for them.

The love that Eric and Natalie have for their baby has been made clear as day in the many pictures and videos Eric has shared since her birth. She enjoyed a cuddly first Christmas with her parents, and Eric captured a heartwarming snapshot of that day.

The country music family grew by leaps and bounds this year! More additions are due in 2019, with some babies set to make their debut in the first few months of the year.
Carrie Underwood, who is expecting her second son with husband Mike Fisher, is due in January. Jason Aldean and wife Brittany are expecting their second child, a daughter they’re naming Navy Rome, in February.
