18-Wheeler Collides With a Train, Causes Fiery Explosion In Texas

On Tuesday morning, a train collided with an 18-wheeler semi just outside of Cameron, Texas.
According to Fox News, the train carried oil tankers, which exploded upon impact from the crash. The Cameron Police Department and other authorities have labeled the accident a hazmat situation, and residents have been warned to avoid the area until the situation has been resolved.

Police first began to receive reports about the explosion around 6:44 a.m. CT and quickly sent mutual aid to responders at the scene. Fortunately, both the truck driver and the train conductor survived the crash without significant injuries.
Due to the nature of the crash, authorities are allowing the fire to burn off from the crash. Police are evacuating houses in the area near Highway 90.
